The Loggia del Pisanello is a free Association of friends of the Art Medals whose name pays homage to the person considered as the true creater of the modern medal, renewing completely the traditional money type, portraying not only gentlemen but also conductors, humanists and the cultured, an indisputable inventor of the commemorative medal. The objective of the Association is to recover a historical memory that is a fundamental part of human culture through a medal, in an era in which short-lived communication seems to have prevailed. The Association was born under the creative and entrepreneurial spur of the Colombo medal company, preeminent in the field of medal mintage, so much so as to be considered one of the leading companies in Europe.
